9. How long does
it take to register a new Domain Name?
10. How long
before the world can connect to my Domain Name?
11. Can I move my
Domain Name to your server? If so, what is involved?
1. Do you offer dial-up accounts?
eVirtualWorld does not offer dial-up accounts for two
reasons. Offering dial-up accounts would increase our
overhead, thereby reflecting in higher prices to you the
consumer. Offering dial-up accounts would compromise your
bandwidth available to hosting your website.
2. Can I host an adult site on your
server?
We do not allow adult sites on our server because of
their controversial nature. We do not condone the
practice of pornography on the Internet.
3. Can I have a public FTP server?
eVirtualWorld does not allow public FTP servers for
security purposes. We only provide a private FTP for
maintaining your web site. As an alternative, we suggest
offering files directly from your web site.
4. Can I sublease or give away portions of
my webspace to others?
evirtualworld does not warrant the use of subleasing of
your domain name. We are offering very competitive rates
which should satisfy anyone who needs web space. We put a
restriction on subleasing because of the possible abuse
that may occur with unlimited storage and bandwidth.
5. How can you offer your web space,
bandwidth & email at such reasonable rates?
Our belief is that a majority of people are not going to
need a great deal of storage, bandwidth, or email
accounts. In the long run, people with small web sites
are not over charged and people with large web sites get
a "Bigger bang for their Buck". However, if an
individual site is going to monopolize server performance
and/or resources, then these sites may incur an
additional fee placed on their account. This is addressed
further on our
Terms &
Conditions Page
6. Who owns the Domain Name when I
register with Your Company?
You are the rightful owner of your sub domain. You will
be registered with eVirtualWorld as a separate legal
company operating under the evirtualworld web site.
7. What does the Domain Registration
fee cover?
The Domain Registration fee of $10 covers your right
to the sub-domain name for 2 years. This is a processing
fee which is embedded in the monthly hosting charges. The cost is
$10 or each year after to keep the
sub-domain name registered to you.
8. What if someone has a Trademark on a
name used in my Domain Name?
It is up to the person registering the domain to be sure
they are not infringing on anyone else's trademark by
either using their exact name or close similarities.
9. How long will it take to register my
new Domain Name?
Depending on the amount of traffic your site will be
registered as early as that same day or up to a a few
days after submission.
10. How long before the rest of the
Internet can connect to my Domain Name?
Your sub-domain name should be available within a couple
of days. Please be patient. Updates to different parts of
the Internet community may take longer than others.
11. What is the process to signup or
transfer a domain to evirtualworld?
Signing up with evirtualworld is easy, just fill out our
online signup form and we will take care of the rest,
such as registering your domain and sending you
confirmation when your account is ready. About a day or
two after you have signed up, evirtualworld will send you
a Domain Agreement.
